Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden snags endorsements from two more New Jersey Black politicians. His former opponent US Sen. Cory Booker and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman say Biden has what it takes to beat Donald Trump.
“The answer to hatred & division is to reignite our spirit of common purpose. @JoeBiden won’t only win – he’ll show there’s more that unites us than divides us,” Booker tweeted this week.  “He’ll restore honor to the Oval Office and tackle our most pressing challenges. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Joe.”

Booker threw his support behind Biden the day before getting major wins in several state primary elections this Tuesday. Booker said Biden will "restore honor to the Oval Office."

On the same day, Watson announced she is also supporting Biden urging the Democratic Party to unify in order to beat Trump in November. She said she's endorsing Biden because he will lead the country forward.

“I have known Vice President Biden for many years and consider him to be a friend and a strong ally in the fight to advance our Party’s progressive values,” said Watson Coleman.  “Joe Biden was on the frontlines working for Democrats across the country well before he was Barack Obama’s selection for Vice President and his dedication and commitment to strengthening our middle class and lifting those who need our help has only intensified these past few years.”

Booker and Watson Coleman join a host of other Black state legislators who have endorsed Biden including Congressman Donald Payne Jr. and State Sen. Ronald Rice
