The North Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The Newark Times are hosting the second Black History Month Black Business Crawl in Newark on Feb. 29 (snow/rain date March 7).

The crawl will take place along the Halsey Street corridor. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the stories of Black entrepreneurs and receive special discounts.

"We have worked diligently with the participating business owners to ensure that your experience is one that provides real value to you as a patron and real economic impact to Black-owned Small Businesses," organizers said.

Admission to the Black Business Crawl is $15. The ticket price includes a free giveaway and special discounts or promos at participating stores. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.

“Minding My Black-Owned Business” t-shirts are also on sale for $20.

Participating vendors will be released in the coming weeks.
