A GoFundMe page has been organized by Shiloh Baptist Church pastor Robert Ingram in the aftermath of the massive fire that destroyed his church early Sunday morning in Elizabeth.

Seeking $2,000,000 the church hopes the community can help the historic 141-year-old church rebuild. The church posted the fundraiser late Sunday on its Facebook page.

"What we did not and can never lose is our faith, hope, and love in God," Ingram said in a statement. "We are indebted to all of you for the many calls, prayers, and presence."

Officials say the Clark Fire Department was dispatched to the church, located at 95 Murray Street, just before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. The investigation continues to find out the cause but officials say the fire started in the rear of the building. No injures were reported.
