The Big Beat jazz band is doing a live recording performance on Feb. 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Parsippany Presbyterian Church (1675 U.S. 46, Parsippany-Troy Hills).

The 19-piece big band features vocalist Allison McKenzie and plays funk, jazz, and R 'n' B music. In September 2019, the group released their debut album, Sounds Good, Feels Good, a collection of soulful original songs as well as modern and funky arrangements of the Jackson 5's, "I Want You Back" and Jill Scott's "It's Love."

The performance will be recorded live and featured on the band's website and YouTube channel. Seating is limited.
