New Jersey Black Restaurant Week is set to take place February 1-10. The event features restaurants, eateries, bakeries, deserts shops and cafes all owned by people of African descent.

Participating establishments will offer one to multi-course, pre-fixe menus, including options for brunch, lunch and dinner. Prices range from $1 to $39.99, from one, two, three or four weeks.

"This exciting campaign helps boost the local economy by increasing traffic to Individual cities, hamlets and  towns," organizers said. "Also, it gives local businesses a chance to thanks residents and visitors for their support over the years."

Cuisines being featured during Black Restaurant Week include African-American, African, Haitian,  Creole, Caribbean, Jamaican, Asian and Soul Food.
